The Etruscans were the most important pre-Roman civilization in Italy and they exerted\u00a0a considerable influence on the development of mighty Rome. The visit includes stops at the most interesting Etruscan sites of Volterra, which was an important city of the Etruscan Federation, called &#8220;Lucumonia&#8221;. Volterra still retains visible sections of the walls of the Etruscan age and the ancient Porta all&#8217;Arco, dating back to the fourth century BC.
